Excellent. Thank you. The liturgical link is a really creative way to navigate our particular Scylla and Charybdis. We have to stay in the present moment and present place (thank you, Brother Lawrence) and hold on to humanity.
I appreciate your focus on Christian love over inflammatory rhetoric and doctrinal minutiae. We differ on many issues but we share an understanding that "love never fails". Keep it up, brother!
I thought about the word liturgy, meaning “the work of the people” and that’s a good description of the time and energy I put into reading and searching and thinking about the injustices I see and how I stew on them. What a waste of time and energy and resources it is! What would be a better way to use those minutes? You’ve given me some food for thought and ideas for change. Thank you!
This is beautiful ❤️. Love the connection to liturgy.
Thank you, Sonya!

Thanks for reading, Patricia! And for the kind words.

A beautiful note, Susie! Thanks for sharing
Brilliant piece.
The Communion of Shared Anger reminded me of Two Minutes Hate from Nineteen Eighty-Four.
You’re right! I didn’t think about that!
Oh my gosh! Me too! This is the first time in my life that i have actually had to practice (not well) love your enemy’s”
I've been thinking so much lately about posture and practice right now (e.g. https://lukeleisman.substack.com/p/waves-from-all-sides), and this was really helpful. Thank you for these words!
