One of my most memorable experiences as a lawyer was sharing an Ash Wednesday with the Italian family of my client. My meeting with the client ended and they invited me as I began to leave. I considered it a high honor to be invited. As a Baptist at the time I had little understanding of the significance. 30 years ago but I remember it like it happened yesterday. And after becoming a Methodist it has even more meaning.
I received my call to the priesthood while on a silent retreat following the Ignatian Exercises. The Examen is such a beautiful practice!
Love your post!! Keep up the good work and keep on spreading the faith!!

Love this! I told a stranger she had dirt on her forehead. Love your reminder.
