Let’s be honest, if most of us were in Jesus’ position, Judas would’ve been out of the group chat long before the Last Supper. He wasn’t loyal. He wasn’t safe. And he wasn’t someone you could trust. And yet, Jesus never cut him off. He washed his feet. He shared a meal. He called him friend. Even in the moment of betrayal.

That part of the gospel doesn’t get talked about much. Probably because it messes with our instincts. We live in a world where betrayal justifies cancellation, where disagreement means disconnection, and where staying at the table feels weak.

But Jesus shows us something radical. He shows us that grace doesn’t always look like walking away. Sometimes it looks like staying close. Close enough to serve. Close enough to bless.

In this week’s Behind Mainline video (for paid subscribers), I’m diving into Jesus’ relationship with Judas and what it teaches us about love, betrayal, and what it really means to build bridges in a world on fire.

Because if we’re honest, most of us would’ve canceled Judas. But Jesus didn’t.

And maybe… that’s the whole point. Enjoy.
